Living Room Transformation – Tring
I was approached by a fabulous couple to transform their living room. Their current living room had served them well for many years and although it was feeling a little tired and outdated , the room was calm, cosy and welcoming … so it was important for me not to lose that feeling.
The design brief from my Client was
- Plenty of seating
- To ensure that it was a completely different colour scheme to their current room
- A simple but modern design – no fuss
- Lots of colour
My takeaway from that first interior intro meeting was that my clients were open to lots of colour, pattern and to ensure furniture pieces were not too fussy
I was also drawn to the beautiful conservatory and garden that extended off of the lounge and felt they all needed to flow into each other … so I had a plan and was super excited to get started.
My clients ordered my room revamp package to ensure they had multiple options for furniture and accessories
They took good advantage of my expertise in choosing the most suitable products from my preferred suppliers along with any trade discounts if applicable.
My clients also opted for a large sample package, we had samples of fabrics for a sofa, armchair, blinds, curtains and cushions as well as carpets and paint … that’s a lot of samples! but it ensured we built a scheme for the room with care and consideration.
I worked alongside my client’s contractors and my own contractors to ensure the project was seamless
My clients were also very much on board with doing their interior homework and it paid dividends, they spent time exploring products alongside me and the icing on the cake was a decision to commission a stunning piece of art work that pulled all our hard work together to showcase this stunning room

Kim helped us with a problem that we had been discussing for months. She was able to suggest ways of using and furnishing the room that we hadn’t thought of. Kim’s ideas took account of our taste and blended well with the rest of the house. She was a delight to work with.
